The couple was insufferable and fell into every cliche imaginable. The story is a much worse version of the game Florence. Sometimes you feel like you can move anywhere as long as you can jump around to it, and other times the game places invisible walls where there previously weren't any. The rules of the world aren't easy to figure out because they keep changing. Especially since up to that point all of the other puzzles were make big thing small, or make small thing big. They don't do a good job of introducing mechanics or letting you know what you can and can't do. Immediately after that you need to grab another crystal by reaching through a gated wall that looks like other areas you normally couldn't interact with. ![]() Nope, it's possible.just only over the one specific area they want you to. There is one moment where you need to get a crystal over a hedge wall, but the game places invisible, impassable walls around the other 3 walls near you, leaving you to think it's impossible to drop anything over. This got incredibly frustrating when you were trying to pick up and put down crystals in small spaces that would trigger the gateways, or when you would hit try to bring the object closer so you could run, and the object would keep itself dangled 10 feet in front of you, refusing to retract back into you as you slowly walked around. Sometimes the buttons just didn't work the way they were supposed to. There were many moments when I wasn't able to bring an object close to myself or drop an object. ![]() I also found myself very frustrated with the controls. Another time the actual solution didn't work so I had to jerry-rig a way to finish the puzzle by jumping around like an idiot. ![]() At one point I had to restart because the game wouldn't let me drop a crystal. The puzzles range from incredibly easy to game breakingly bad and I never really felt satisfied or clever when I finished a puzzle. Maybe it's because I just beat Obduction (Incredible puzzle game by the makers of Myst), but this game fell a bit flat for me.
